Wings of HopeCherished Children Memorial ServiceTuesday, August 14, 2018, Altru’s Wings of Hope Bereavement Services will be hosting the annual Cherished Children Memorial Service. This event seeks to support families who have lost a child by any means, and at any stage of life. The event is free and open to the public. The celebration will start at 6:00 pm on the hospital lawn with informational booths from local bereavement resources. The theme this year is “Keeping the Memory Alive: Honoring and Remembering Our Children.” The program will be from 6:30—7:30 and include speakers who have lost a child, music by “Higher Ground”, and revealing the new names on the Angel Wall. During the program a children’s tent will be available for those 5 & up. Activities in the tent will include music, stories, and crafts. Refreshments will be served following the program.
