Laura has been a member of the Sutton Road team since 2005. She is the anchor of our reception staff. Her impeccable work ethic and boundless energy keep the front end running efficiently and effectively. She works hard and cares deeply for our clients and their pets.Michelle has loved animals and wanted to work with them her whole life. She joined our practice in 1998, starting as a receptionist, and working her way around the hospital as a veterinary assistant and now office manager. She enjoys the variety of duties that her position offers. Wherever Michelle is needed, she will be there to help.Kathryn is a 2014 graduate of The Vet Tech Institute at Fox College and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She began working at Sutton Road Animal Hospital in June 2014 and quickly became a highly valued and integral member of our team. Before attending college, Kathryn volunteered at various animal shelters and worked for a dog groomer.Dr. Husar earned his DVM from the University of Illinois in 1984, graduating with high honors. Prior to that, he graduated from Millikin University Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Biology.Dr. Rumpf graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 after completing her undergraduate work at the University of Illinois. She practiced for several years in the Orland Park area prior to joining our team in the spring of 2014.Dr. Kimmey was born and raised in Oberlin, OH and relocated to Riverview, MI when he was 12 years old. His passion for veterinary medicine began at the young age of 8 and developed over many summers spent on his grandfather’s 500 acre dairy farm. Dr. Kimmey attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate studies then transferred to Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine to receive his doctorate in 1990. In his senior year of vet school he received the “Wade O. Brinker” award; an award given to the most outstanding senior student in orthopedic surgery, selected by their peers.Shellie has been part of the Sutton Road Animal Hospital family since she was fifteen years old, more than half of her life! We are incredibly grateful for this fact, as she has a love for animals and their families, along with dedication and an immense sense of humor that can rise above all circumstances!Does your feline friend get enough taurine?
